Full Day in KL

Below are all sorts of pics and videos from a full day of excitement in KL.  For starters, Craig, Caleb, Bethany, and I had the gumption to walk up approx. 300 steps to this amazing Hindu holy space, located in a mountain cave behind this humongous Hindu statue.

Needless to say, climbing up to this place about killed me.  Word is around here that climbing to heaven MUST be hard.
We took a picture of the idol's back side and lived to tell about it.

Now to the city of KL.

Below are from the Twin Towers in KL. Why they call it the "Twin Towers" is still a mystery to me.

The park at the base of the towers provided a good opportunity for people pictures, showing the ethnic diversity of the visitors.

White person alert!  These four guys below are from Nepal.  They saw us white people sitting on a bench.  Tempted as they were, they kindly asked if they could have their picture made with us.  (Proven by the camera shooting OUR picture above.)  I then responded by taking the below picture of them.  However, I forgot to put us in the picture with them.  That seems like something a stuck-up white person might do, no?
White person alert!  I took a picture of the white lady above because seeing white people in this city is a rare spectacle.  In the course of a day, you can count on one, maybe two hands, and perhaps a few toes, how many white people you encounter.  I was about to ask her if I could have my picture made with her.  Then Maria soberly reminded me that we, also, are white people.

Below are brief video clips of the days activities.

I really didn't come all the way here to see the Davises.  What I really came looking for were monkeys.  Wild monkeys.  Not in a cage or a zoo.  Monkeys that think they own the land, and hope to steal your wallet while you're not looking.
